Feral Deer Action Forum – Monday 15th June at Algie Hall, Neerim South

Feral deer are trashing our forests, polluting our waterways,
destroying farms and ruining livelihoods, and are becoming
an increasing menace on our roads.

Join us as we call for action to help communities manage Victoria’s feral deer
crisis at the:

Neerim South Feral Deer Action Forum
Monday June 15th 6pm – 8pm at the Algie Hall, 213 Main
Neerim Road

Hosted by Latrobe Catchment Landcare Network, the Deer
Forum features representatives from the Invasive Species
Council (ISC), Victorian National Parks Association (VNPA)
and the Victorian Deer Community Control Network
(VDCCN).

ISC, VNPA and VDCCN are part of an alliance, which
includes the Victorian Farmers Federation and Environment
Victoria that is campaigning to stop the rise of feral deer
numbers across the state and is calling for better support
for communities to manage the impacts of these
destructive invasive animals.
An important part of the campaign involves sharing the
stories of the people living in communities who are dealing
with the problems caused by deer every day. These include
the loss of crops, pasture and native revegetation, threats
to native biodiversity and road accidents.
